The new ECDIS 24 is an Electronic Chart Display and Information System, which has been designed especially for the needs of ECDIS retrofit.
Based on the well-known Raytheon Anschütz ECDIS software, the new ECDIS 24comes with an off-the-shelf 24 inch TFT Panel- PC display. The standard supply also includes a separate interface-box with cable and a stainless steel trackball, all components being type approved. This setup shortens delivery times, reduces installation efforts and offers maximum flexibility for integration into existing bridge layouts.
ECDIS 24 already includes all serial interfaces as required by ECDIS performance standards IEC61174 as well as connection for AC (main) and DC (emergency) power supply with automatic switch-over - no need to add a separate UPS (uninterrupted power supply).
The ECDIS 24 (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) provides intelligent functions for the advanced planning and the monitoring of routes which outrun basic IMO requirements and account for additional safety at sea. Featuring an advanced data processing, ECDIS 24 ensures easy integration of AIS, Radar, GPS, heading information and nav data. A configurable Conning panel can show relevant navigation, docking and track at a glance.
Complementary to the ECDIS solution, Raytheon Anschütz offers approved manufacturer-specific online training for ECDIS in cooperation with Safebridge and land-based training courses in training centers around the world.
